X-Ray Policy

The Dental Health Professionals at Viera considers managing your oral health care as our most important objective. We provide all patients the most advanced diagnostic equipment, procedures, and treatment options.

In order to properly evaluate your oral health status, new patients will receive our digital x-rays according to the below guidelines:

Adults: Complete Full Mouth X-Rays & Panoramic View

Children: Panoramic View &/or 4-6 Single Views

Exceptions to the above guidelines include, but not limited to, pregnancy, certain medical health conditions, numerous missing teeth, or children with high risk of decay. Exceptions are determined solely by the treating doctor.

We provide you with a detailed and accurate overview of your oral condition using the highest quality in x-ray technology. Because of this, The Dental Health Professionals at Viera will not accept any past dental records, including x-rays, unless the dentist requests such records. If your dental insurance denies coverage for the new x-rays, you are responsible for payment at the time of service.
