Procedure

Porcelain Veneer treatment is a process beginning with a dental assistant taking study impressions and fabricating plaster models of your teeth. These models provide the dentist an out of the mouth 3D view of your teeth which allows the doctor to evalate and plan the approach which is best for your mouth. Minimal tooth reduction is the primary focus during this evaluation. Once the treatment plan is visualized by the doctor, the procedure is ready to begin.

The procedure begins by numbing the teeth to be veneered. Minimal tooth reduction is performed and evaluated meticulously. Once the reduction is complete, we then take a final impression of the newly preparred teeth. This impression is highly accurate and will be used by the laboratory to fabricate you new porcelain veneers. Following the final impression, we will then fabricate your temporary veneers made of acrylic so that you will leave our office with a preview of what your new color and shapes of the veeners will be. After a few weeks of wearing your temporaries, the laboratory delivers your new veeners to our office for us to try in and cement the porcelain veneers permanently on your teeth. Once cemented, we will clean and polish your new, beautiful porcelain veneers., leaving you with a beautifully restored healthy smile.
