A major advancement to keeping your teeth extra clean is with our use of the "ultrasonic scaler" teeth cleaning unit (pictured on the right). The pen style handpiece performs two key roles. The tip that inserts into the handpiece vibrates (ultrasonic) in a very small eliptical patern. When the tip is glided up and down the tooth surface, it efficiently removes plaque and calculus. Additionally, a water spray is aimed at the vibrating tip to cool any heat as well as "wash" plaque and calculus away from the newly cleaned teeth.
